PGP works as a cryptographic tool that offers added security to files before they are transmitted via the internet. PGP encrypts confidential plaintext information with a public key through an algorithm and a private key is required to revert the file to its original readable form.

PGP files are stored by default in a file named acad.pgp. They are stored in plain text and contain commands in the following format: command,[executable],flags[,[*]prompt[,return_code]] Each command specifies the command alias, an executable to run, process flags, display prompt options, and a return code when the command finishes.
