Jul 22, 2017 · The network connection changed from my wifi to "Ethernet: connected ", however the IP address given is 169.254.149.85 which I understand is an Apple TV self given address, not one from my router, therefore won't connect to the internet. PlexConnect delivers Plex Media Server features on a non-jailbroken Apple TV. As I posted some days before, Plex Media Server is running on Windows 10 without any issues. So does PlexConnect: Installing PlexConnect on Windows 10 works in the same way as it does for Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1. It can't connect to the Netflix server but gosh golly gee, I switch to my Roku box and no problem. Unfortunately for Apple, while I'm over there I'm starting to to buy movies and shows from Amazon Apple doesn't make it's money from the $99 Apple TV sale - it's the iTunes purchases.
